Cullinan Hall

The Cullinan Hall addition to the Museum of Fine Arts Houston was built in 1958 and designed by Mies van der Rohe. I've always enjoyed the contrast of the modern steel, glass, and terrazzo spaces with the floor to ceiling curtains. The simple white curtains shift color all day long as they play with the Texas sun. The intensity of the sun in Houston is something Mies failed to acknowledge in this glass pavilion.
